Rocky Mountain Twist is currently in search of a Database Administrator to join our team.  The Database Administrator's role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems and databases that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked database software and associated systems databases.  The Database Administrator will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.  This is a full time benefit eligible position.

Database Administrator Competencies

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Experience in assisting in the implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
  • Ability to produce and maintain database driven reports in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Domain, and Backbone Management.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft OS environments. 2012 and above Servers.
  • Working knowledge of networking systems/applications, firewalls, routers, switches, & wireless.
  • Experience with core software applications, Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and concepts. VMWare ESXI.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Knowledge of Microsoft .NET programming languages (VB.NET), EDI systems and Made2Manage ERP are a plus.

Database Administrator Minimum Education/Experience

Associates Degree in an IT Related field, Microsoft SQL Server: MCSA or equivalent certification, and 1+years' experience.
